...because we can't let Brent have ALL the fun, can we?

I have been incredibly excited with all the things that have been recently coming together for the House.

- First, we now have five committed housemates: me, Marc, Brent, Leanna, and Heather. Heather is Marc's friend from Nashville and Leanna is Brent's friend from Oklahoma City. (I will not, by the way, that that makes 3 of the relationships between us that were started online in one fashion or another, so yes--Jesus CAN use social networking to His glory!) Here's a picture of blooming house crew (minus Heather and I, of course) outside of Cafe du Monde during Leanna and Brent's dreadstravaganza visit a few weeks ago:

- Although I don't want to talk about it too much yet or get anyone's hopes up too high, Marc and I are looking closely at a specific house for sale in Treme. It's a double shotgun like we were hoping to find, and so far everything looks good. Please pray for us as we consider this fairly epic financial decision and navigate the treacherous waters of home-buying. 

- We had five people at our Sunday night bible study this past week after promoting the House at the mewithoutYou show in Metairie and inviting more of our friends! We had a great talk, which in turned spawned this coming week's topic (see "Jesus Loves Osama?") and met some cool new folks.

- We will be promoting the House hardcore at Cornerstone Festival in a few weeks. Brent, Marc, and I will be roadtripping up there and camping out for the week to listen to great music, attend some spiffy seminars, and chill with some of the greatest Jesus-loving kids on earth.
